ROOMING WITH MY BEST FRIEND: AFTER GRADUATION 20
Posted: August 14, 2014...PDF
My heart skipped a beat seeing Kris tumbling across the water. It was just a second or two before he appeared in the water with Deer steering the boat around. We trolled along slowly until pulling up next to Kris.
“Bro, I wasn’t paying attention and that big ass wave got me,” Kris laughed.
“You went flying across the water,” Colt said with Corey jumping up to help Kris inside the boat.
“I know I did but damn that was fun,” Kris said with Corey pulling him up. “Colt, your ass is next. I’ll warn ya. It is harder than it looks plus my damn arms are given out.”
“Thanks for the warning,” Colt said and dove into the water.
With Colt in the water, Deer adjusted the boat until Colt signaled that he was ready. Try as he might, Colt couldn’t get the hang of it. Corey was next to try and did get up but just for a little while.
My turn was after Corey’s. The saying that they were saving the best for last wasn’t true. I dove in the water and found it to be hell getting my feet on the board. Once I got the board on my feet next came the trick of treading water while trying to remember all the tips I was given. I gave a hesitant okay signal and felt the boat pulling my arms. I was fighting it and didn’t get up the first or second attempt. It was more tiring attempting than anything. On the third try, my body was pulled from the water. Now was the attempt to balance while seeing Kris, Colt and Corey watching me. It was long before I was on the board until a boat wave did me in. It wasn’t like Kris where I sailed across the water but one where I lost my balance and feel over harmlessly to the water.
Once I was in the boat, we headed back to the dock. Chase and Tabor were sitting on the dock with a cooler behind them and a beer in their hand. We docked with Kris, Colt and Corey walking up to grab one of their own. I stayed back and talked with the three of them for a little while before Corey, Kris and Colt came back down. The rest of the afternoon was rather lazy with us in the water on a raft or on the dock.
Even though we weren’t that active for the rest of the afternoon, it was still great just being with Kris and Colt for the holiday with the other three being thrown in. They were fun to be around and were a little tamer than I imagined.
About 8, we loaded up the boat and headed across the water to get a better view of the fireworks. It was shocking to see how many other boats were in the area to see the extravaganza. The worst part was waiting with Colt and Chase showing how they were true brothers. For the first time this weekend, they started bickering back and forth. Chase was getting loud and having a good time though before Colt thought it was his duty to calm him down.
The fireworks finally began just as it was really turning dark. An arm went around my waist. I leaned over and kissed Corey’s cheek with the first explosion overhead. The nice show continued for longer than I thought it would.
The journey back to the dock was rather adventuresome in the dark and with other boats in the water. Deer was in complete control with all of us giving our thoughts to direction. Tabor had the best sense of direction and was able to get us close. As we got close, Deer slowed the boat until Kris noticed that we had just past the dock. We turned around and made it back.
We headed back to the house with the four of us staying on the deck while Chase, Tabor and Deer headed in the house. Kris went and returned with drinks for us.
“Bros, that was pretty fucking tight if you ask me,” Kris commented.
“It was except for the fact Chase wanted to be a total jackass!” Colt said. “Y’all heard how loud he was and dancing to that music.”
“I thought it was funny,” Corey said. “Hey, he was just letting loose.”
“It was damn embarrassing if you ask me,” Colt said.
“Bro, what was more embarrassing was hearing you two argue…” Kris said and took a drink.
“Ummm… Colt, I’m sorry but you were being a little harsh on him. Hell, we don’t know what he has to deal with…” I said.
“Yeah bro. This is his chance to be a regular guy with his buddies just like we’re doing. I’m sure these chances are few and far between,” Kris said.
“He should’ve thought of that shit before he fucked up,” Colt said.
“Colt, I think it was damn lucky one of y’all didn’t fuck up,” Corey said.
“I agree. One little fucking mistake and our asses could have been in the same boat. Plus… I thought you were past that shit now,” Kris said.
“I am. I was stating the facts,” Colt said.
“Honestly, I heard you say how well he was doing and how you really enjoyed Hunter. I know we’re ganging up on you and taking Chase’s side on this, Colt, but I see it as we’re trying to explain his reasons,” I stated.
“Yeah, cut him some slack. Does he go out like he used to?” Kris asked.
“No… fuck!” Colt yelled and stood. “Why does everyone have to be so right and now make me look like the jackass?”
“We just see things from his prospective and not from the brother’s prospective,” Corey replied with door opening and Tabor poking his head out.
“Y’all, we were fucking bored. Wanna play a game of cards?” Tabor asked.
“Sure but what game?” Kris replied.
“I don’t know. We’ll think of something,” Tabor replied.
We got up and went inside. We began debating different games since they did have a deck of cards.
Chase spoke up with nothing decided. “Hey, didn’t we play that game at y’all’s place once like sip and strip?”
Corey laughed, “I think we did once when you came to stay with Colt…”
“It’s called flip, sip or strip,” I added.
We gave out the basic rules about the game where you flipped a coin and called it. If you missed, you either sipped or striped.
“Naturally, they’d wanna play,” Deer said and pointed at us.
“Anything or stupid ass game so they can get naked,” Tabor laughed.
“We can go get on more clothes to make it fun,” I said since we were basically in our trunks.
We found shirts and shoes or socks to give us all the same amount of clothes. We decided on the amount to drink and gathered around in a circle with Kris taking the lead. He called heads but it was tails.
“My shorts bros?” Kris laughed.
“Dude, we don’t care to see your fucking dick right now,” Tabor said. “Well, I know three guys that don’t.”
“It won’t be my first time,” Chase said.
Kris took off his shirt and passed the coin to Chase since we alternated among friends. We continued around and really got into the action. First to get totally naked was Tabor but by then he really didn’t care after a day of drinking. By the end of the game, he wasn’t the only one who didn’t care. We were all naked and mocking Chase’s boat dance.
It was about one in the morning before things calmed down. We began retreating to our bedrooms with Chase sleeping on the couch like he did the night before.
Corey shut our door and pulled me close for a long kiss. We kissed with lots of passion fueled by just enough alcohol in our bodies. Our hands gravitated towards our cocks with us grabbing each other’s. Corey broke the long noisy kiss. “Fuck, I’ve got to have this fucking dick tonight.”
“You’ll get this fucking dick all you want. I want us to have fucking martial sex,” I said in complete lust for my husband.
“Fuck yeah,” Corey said before dropping to his knees to take my cock.
After swapping head, Corey was on his back in the middle of the bed. I moved between his thick muscular legs and inserted my hard cock. I pushed his knees to his chest and really gave him what he wanted. The bed shook with our sex and didn’t make much noise. It didn’t matter if anyone heard us or not.
After great sex, we were both out like a light.
Corey was up before I was awake the next morning. When I did wake, there was a slight fog in my head from the night before. I found my shorts and exited our bedroom to find him, Kris and Colt sitting on the couch and having some little donuts that we had bought.
“Notice anything?” Kris asked with me taking a seat.
“For one, you’re dressed,” I answered.
“We cleaned everything up from last night including all the bottles and trash,” Colt said.
“We’ve got to keep it looking good just in case Corey’s client offers this sweet ass place again,” Kris said.
“I know but I doubt he does. We’re just lucky that Jeff even mentioned it when we were working out,” Corey said.
“Did you ask him if we could use it?” Colt asked.
“No, not really. I dropped a few hints how I had some college buddies that we’d like to see,” Corey laughed.
“Who cares? We’re here and that’s all that matters,” Kris said.
“You know last night was fun I have to admit,” Colt said.
“It was but we all had that extra push you might say,” I added.
“Colt do you feel even the tiniest bit sorry for jumping Chase’s case?” Kris asked.
“Ummm… not really,” Colt replied and laughed. “We did tear it up last night even though it was with them.”
“It was a lot of fun but how’d we do that every weekend?” Corey asked.
“Bro, we still would if we were closer… well maybe not like that with us dancing around like crazy guys,” Kris laughed.
“I think the correct term would be intoxicated,” I added.
“Matt, fucked up would really be the correct term. However, Kris and I didn’t need their help on our trip,” Colt laughed.
“Bros, I’m ready to get and start moving again. Colt and I are going to enjoy these last two days of freedom,” Kris stated. “These will really be few and far between in the future.”
“I agree. You’ll join the ranks with me and Matt and see what it is like being hitched,” Corey said.
“So there is difference?” Kris asked.
I looked at Corey. “Well… some but not that much. I can see where it would be different if we didn’t live together.”
“That’d be hell plus you really get to see what a person is like before getting hitched,” Colt said.
“Bro, what the fuck are you talking about? You haven’t even considered getting married,” Kris said.
“I’ll know for damn sure then,” Colt laughed. “Matt, is Scott coming or not?”
“Ummm… I don’t know. I guess I’ll give him a holler here shortly and see for sure,” I said.
We continued to sit around until giving up on the other three. I did call Scott and found he was about to leave his house and make his way over. He thought it’d take about two hours to make it. Kris found the keys to Deer’s boat so we could head out.
Once in the boat, we headed to gas it up. We rode along the lake and enjoyed the scenery with just the four of us. Kris did a great job of driving and was a little better at driving a boat than a car.
Arriving back at the boat, the three stood and put their hands on their hips. Deer was shaking his head when we navigated the boat into the slip.
“Thanks for leaving the keys out,” Colt said with a big smile.
“We filled er up while we were out,” I added.
“It’s cool plus we’re just chilling,” Deer said.
“Hung over like a mother would be more like it,” Kris laughed.
“We’ll survive,” Chase said.
Kris walked over and put his arm around Tabor’s bare shoulder. “Bro, you disappoint me. You can’t handle your shit now.”
“Kris, I’m not in the mood,” Tabor said.
“Kris, I’d lay off him,” Chase commented.
“Ha, he needs someone to mess with him,” Kris scoffed.
“Actually I don’t,” Tabor said and pushed Kris’s arm away.
Kris laughed and began poking Tabor in the sides.
“Kris, you might wanna stop,” Deer said with Kris continuing.
“Dammit, stop! I said I’m in the fucking mood!” Tabor shouted.
“I’m gonna get you in the mood,” Kris said and continued to mess with Tabor. “Show some life, bro.”
“I’ll show your ass some fucking life,” Tabor said. He pushed Kris hard and sent Kris off the edge of the dock into the water. We stood looking at each other and waited for Kris to emerge. Kris swam to the ladder and got out of the water. No doubt in my mind, Kris was pissed off.
“Whoa, someone’s madder than a wet old hen right now,” Colt said.
“Fuck yeah I am!” Kris shouted getting out. He walked over to Tabor with Corey stepping in quickly. “I’ll get your ass for that.”
“Kris, we warned you,” Deer said.
“I don’t care. He’d no fucking right to push me in the water,” Kris shouted with the veins in his neck bulging. He was pointing at Tabor over Corey’s intervention. Colt and I moved over and pulled Kris away while Tabor stood emotionless.
Kris resisted our tug but did storm away up to the house. Colt and I were hot on his trail. Kris stripped off his wet clothes and slung them against the wall in anger. “Fuck his ass!” Kris yelled.
I shook my head. “Kris, you started it.”
“I’m gonna finish it too!” Kris said.
“I knew it… I just knew this shit would happen,” Colt said.
“Colt, you’re not helping matters here. Kris, I’m your best friend but… you got what you deserved. Once you knew you were getting under Tabor’s skin, you didn’t stop.”
“That still doesn’t give his ass any right to push me in the water,” Kris said with water dripping from his naked body.
For no reason, Colt began laughing. “Thank goodness, nothing has changed at all.”
“What do you mean?” Kris asked with his hands on his hips.
“Well… you still have your old temper,” Colt laughed.
“He sure does. I was thankful Corey stepped or else all hell was about to break loose,” I said with the back door opening and Corey walking inside.
“Is everything okay here?” Corey asked.
“Fuck no, they aren’t,” Kris replied. “I’m fucking pissed!”
“Great… just great!” I said and threw my arms in the air. “For the next 24 hours, we’re going to be completely miserable.”
Kris turned and walked away to the bathroom with a knock at our door. I assumed it was Scott so I went over and welcomed him. Trevor was next to him.
“Hope you don’t mind but both of us were about to go crazy,” Scott stated.
“You’re fine,” I said and greeted him and Trevor. Trevor’s hair was long with tattoos on his right arm.
“So, what’d we miss?” Scott asked.
“You just missed Tabor pushing Kris in the water but I was gonna say they just left in the boat,” Corey replied.
“Wow! I bet Kris is pissed,” Scott said.
“That’s putting it mildly,” Colt said.
Kris came out of the bathroom and caught the eye of Scott and Trevor since he was naked. “Hey bros, you missed my tiny explosion.”
“We heard but are you sure Kris hasn’t been nude the entire time?” Scott asked.
Kris smiled and laughed, “Bro, I wish.”
“Me too,” Trevor said quietly.
“Get used to it,” Colt said. “We were all naked last night.”
“Every fucking time I miss it,” Scott said and threw his hands in the air.
“Anyway, I need to find some shorts and go apologize to Tabor. Matt was right. I can stay pissed and ruin everyone’s weekend or I can man up and say I was wrong…” Kris said.
“It’ll have to wait. They just left,” Corey said.
“That’s very manly of you, Kris,” Colt said.
“Bro, like I said, I came here to have fun. I’m not going to ruin for the rest of you. If I stayed mad, then we’d be divided and no fun. Besides, I was wrong and learned my lesson,” Kris said.
“So you’d come for the day?” I asked Scott and pleased to see Kris’s position on the matter.
“If y’all don’t mind, we’ll stay the night if there is room,” Scott replied. “We’ll sleep on the floor or wherever.”
Kris walked over to Trevor. “Bro, you lost control of the ink on your ass?”
Trevor smiled, “No one did. I like em to be honest with you.”
“That’s all that matters,” Kris said and walked away to his bedroom.
We got up and showed Scott and Trevor around. They liked it and commented how nice it was.
“Matt, congratulations on your wedding. I’m proud that you had the courage to do so and show me that it is possible,” Trevor said.
“Thanks, Trevor. It is possible,” I said.
“Now, I just need to find someone like Corey that makes me happy,” Trevor said.
I laughed, “And so does Scott.”
“We’re just alike more than you’d ever believe,” Scott stated.
“Expect for the fact, I know I’m gay while Scott keeps pretending he’s bi,” Trevor commented.
Scott and Trevor grabbed their things and changed. Both came donning Speedos and looking nice with Trevor skinny as ever with more ink on his torso. We headed down and messed around by the dock. We swam some and got more sun.
Deer, Chase and Tabor came riding up and docked the boat. Kris didn’t hesitate and walked right up to Tabor.
“Bro, I’m sorry. I was stupid and hard headed not to listen. Can you forgive me?” Kris asked in front of us.
“I’m sorry for pushing you in the water,” Tabor said.
“Bro, it was cool,” Kris said and gave him a big hug.
“Whoa, that was quick. Here I thought we’d be at odds the rest of the time,” Chase said.
“Nothing to stay mad about,” Kris said. “You fuck up and admit your mistakes.”
“I know that shit far too well,” Chase laughed.
“Trevor, we need to get your ass out on the wake board…” Deer said.
“We should but I don’t know about in that,” Tabor said and gestured towards Trevor’s small swim suit.
“Bro, just think how good he’d look,” Kris laughed.
“I’ll try for sure,” Trevor said and stood with a big smile on his face.
“Let’s go then,” Deer said. The four of them headed back out while we sat and watched from the dock.
“Trev’s eating this shit alive,” Scott commented. “He was a little worried when I told him who all was here.”
“We taught em right,” Colt said. “Trevor’s probably in hog heaven right now with those three.”
We sat and watched them try to get Trevor up. It took about three tries before Trevor was able to get up and stay up. Scott was smiling seeing his brother do it. Colt was lamenting the fact that he was the only one of us that couldn’t get up on the wake board.
We swam around a little and waited for the four to return. Once they did, it was our turn to take the boat back out with our intentions being on tubing. Kris was at the helm of the boat and seemed to enjoy driving it. First into the water was Colt to ride the tube. Kris did his best to make it fun for Colt by weaving back forth without going full speed. Each of us took our turn riding the tube. I really enjoyed it with Kris doing his best to sling me off of it.
We motored into the dock with Trevor and Chase in the water. We found that Tabor and Deer had left to run to the store for more dip and more drinks.
That night, it was time for us to cook out since we had purchased burgers and dogs for this occasion. It was nice that Jeff’s place had a grill. Once the food began cooking, it was the greatest smell in the air. Kris, Tabor and Corey did the honors while Scott and I got the fixings and other things ready.
The burgers tasted so good after being out on the lake most of the day. We sat around as a big group eating and drinking. I had enjoyed too much the night before and stayed off the alcohol other than a few drinks of a rum punch that Chase and Trevor made up.
Our evening was great. We watched some TV, played some cards and more than anything just enjoyed being around each other as friends.
Towards the end, Corey grabbed my hand and led me out the back. “Just wanted a few moments alone with my husband,” he stated.
I smiled and kissed his cheek before we walked down to the dock in the dark. We sat on the edge with our feet in the water. Our arms went around each other. I sat staring across the water knowing the weekend was coming to an end shortly. We talked a little but mostly enjoyed being alone.
Our solitude was broken with someone coming down. The closer he got we could see it was Trevor.
“Am I interrupting anything?” he asked.
“You’re fine,” Corey replied. “Wassup?”
“I’m taking a break to get some air,” Trevor replied. “Chase and those guys have really been great towards me.”
“You haven’t given them a reason not to be,” I said.
“Some people don’t need a reason. You two got by so easy it ain’t even funny,” Trevor said taking a seat.
“We know we did,” Corey said. “You really just have to associate with the right people that will accept you.”
“Scott tells me that shit all the time,” Trevor said.
“It has to come naturally and not forced. Like today, you didn’t push yourself and just went with the flow. For me, it is a big key. If you want to act differently, people will treat you differently Trevor,” I stated.
“Maybe I’ve been going at things the wrong way. I saw how you and Corey were accepted and expected everyone at college to do the same thing,” Trevor said.
“Again, we owe a big thanks to Kris,” Corey said. “I don’t know if we would be married today if not for him and the others.”
“I really need to find the right guy too,” Trevor said and shook his head. “I’ve been with some real losers.”
“Hey, the right one is out there for you,” I said and patted Trevor’s bare shoulder.
“Why were you with some losers?” Corey asked.
“Boy I wonder that myself some times. Sometimes you get desperate and needy… if you know what I mean,” Trevor said.
“I know what you mean. You’re like your brother,” I said.
“Way too much,” Trevor laughed.
We stayed talking with Trevor and how things were going at college. He did say that was one bright spot. Corey and I agreed that doing well was really what was important and the other things would fall into place.
After a great night in which we didn’t stay up as long or drink as much, I woke on Sunday morning. Kris was up shortly after I was. We headed out to the deck and enjoyed talking until the house filled with activity.
We used our time wisely and got in as much of the lake as we could. Everyone chipped in and had the place spotless before we left. Thanks to some advance planning, Scott was able to catch a ride back with us. Again, it was hard saying goodbye to all of them. I knew times like we had experienced would be harder and harder to come by. It was just a fact of life that things were changing for each one of us.
TO BE CONTINUED…
Hope you enjoyed that chapter. I have plans for more as ideas come to me. I appreciate your patience so very much!!!
